Career Summary

Gordon Harris brings a wealth of life experience to his practice of family law having had earlier careers as a soldier, a police officer, a tow truck driver and a driller. He has been practising in family law since 2003 after he completed his law degree while working as a Court Officer in the Family Court of Australia.

Although he came to study law later in his career, Gordon went on to obtain a Masters in Laws. Gordon has particular expertise is complex rural property settlements. He also handles cases related to family law including police charges, domestic violence and child protection.

Gordon has spent a good part of his life living and working outside Brisbane, and quickly builds a strong rapport with people from all walks of life. His advice to clients is informed by his broad life experience as well as his legal expertise, and Gordon takes particular care to explain legal concepts in everyday language, taking the mystery out of the law so that clients know where they stand.
